so this looks like a small amount of food. i used to always fill up much bigger containers and try to eat it all but generally the low carbish action is really dense and after not very long this much food (bout the size of a hotel cereal bowl) is plenty if you are getting enough water (exhibit a)
this is 2 different wierd looking couldnt identify them leftover things of chicken i found in the fridge, the rest of my normandy mix from costco, maeploy red curry paste ( a lot ) and water this time instead of coconut milk.
its a little bit too salty, probably what was already on the chicken but palatable and the last thing you want when you are eating it daily is boring and plain so err on the side of too spicy imho.
anyway what is far more important about this meal is that i've been having it for lunch for a week and a half, you see that carrot there? thats not really 'on the diet' but yea, there's only one of those puppies in this bowl theres some squash too, thats not so bad and its not a lot of food and there's no sugar and there's no bread.
so today is much like the last 6 work days but what makes today special enough to post about? dinner last night! my brother came to town on business, he gets these junkets once in awhile that afford him a short visit before getting back on a plane and dinner is on the junkets tab so we had some of that omfg food. even then, i made choices, skipped the bread and croutons, ate the lettuce and bacon, had some escargot with buttery nom nom happy sauce, a filet mignon with crab and bearnaise on top, a cesar salad, WATER then bent a bit and did that cheesecake again. bro had this chocolate madness that he later said had no flour, ingredients seemed very much on the plan so i had like 3 spoonfuls, insanely delicious. however, me thinks it had way more sugar than it let on, metabolic boost actually gave me a sweaty fever for a couple hours.
so last time i was 'on the diet' I would have though, oh jeez, i screwed up, i cheated, hell i'm already off, man i should woof a massive bowl of cereal the next morning, whats one more day? well i can tell you what it is, its one more week, month, a few years and 75lbs back on your body. the guilt of that is not useful, what is useful is having zero guilt over having a nice dinner with my bro. he comes to town once or twice a year, maybe there's a birthday or thanksgiving or a bbq where i bend and have a corn bread muffin but in each case i make sure to enjoy, not deprive and continue to be making choices and more importantly the next day i'm eating what you see here, day in and day out.
happy living!
I'm jealous of your dinner. You didn't tell me there was crab and sauce on top of the steak. :/ Anyway, good job going right back to your new eating habit.
